Another One Bites The Dust

As everyone knows by now, Domino Magazine, one of my all time favorites, is closing its doors. When I heard the news, I was extremely saddened and disappointed that another great magazine couldn't stand strong in the face of the internet and this economy.

I am an avid magazine reader and collector. I don't know where it comes from, but I have this desire to save magazines I like for years. When I moved, I broke down my massive collection to just a small selection - Domino, Blueprints (which was another fantastic magazine that died a premature death), Nylon Magazine (one of the best fashion mags out there), Readymade Magazine, and Martha Stewart. Ok, it's still a lot of magazines but I consider these the best ones so that's what I kept.

Good bye Domino Magazine! I'll miss the photographs of beautifully decorated homes and all the great ideas that came from flipping through its pages every month.
